Mmmm i recon the heat shrink tubes are handy but not 100% on the solder part so prob just abit of turps tape and secure them

I have used the Jaycar solder joiners many a time and they are the most effective and easiest way I have found to get a good strong join covered with heat shrink. Never had one fail yet.

Only downside is they work out to about $1 each from Jaycar.

Hi, You can get Hall Effect Sensors from Jaycar.

While you can replace the HES, given all the phaffing around removing the dissy and replacing the HES, you're better off just replacing the whole dissy, esp if the history of the existing one is unkown.

...we got hammered yesterday with hail and still cleaning up in the poor VR got dammaged i recon about 15 or so dings 2 biggish ones others semi

My son's Mazda 3 was badly damaged by hail late last year (2017). I was pleasantly surprised at how good the dent removal was, without damaging the paint and without the repair being detectable afterwards. However, the bonnet had to be repaired/repainted given thin panels these days and the lack of repair clearance due to the support struts.
