This is a great story, I thought it was worth sharing. Watch the video. My Dad's car. [VIDEO] Basically, this guys dad bought a brand new Chevy Impala, and he loved it more than anything. But then things were getting tough and he needed the money, so he had to sell it. Now, his son has spent 5 years trying to track this exact car down, he still had the VIN number, and after finally finding it, he buys it for his dad as a surprise. Thats just a brief description, watch the 5 min video.
I'm not sure, I was wondering that myself. But its a good story if its real. And I thought it was worth sharing.
id love to do it for the old man. every now and then we talk about his old 4dr HQ Monaro with a worked 308 that could do 90mph in 1st (powerglide box) if i could ever track down this car (although its probably scraped. as its been 19+yrs since he had it) i would buy it for him.
Probably real, but I reckon Chevrolet probably found out about it while he was searching and helped him along, tis good publicity.
It's ok, we are all entitled to our own opinions on this video. I actually didn't see anywhere where they said the car was still in flawless condition but anyway..
Seems legit guys: Sons Reunite Dad With Cherished Car But yeah, advertising for Chevy is 99% the reason they did it.
Doesn't nearly every P plater with a commodore advertise for Chevy anyway? Awesome story if it really is real.
My dad had 1 green xb gt 4 speed coupe and a orange auto xb gt coupe in the 80s when he was 18 he didnt buy them new but he wishes he still had them i wish i seen them but i wasnt born than i wish i could of seen them and went for a drive in them he still remembers the number plates for them maybe some day will will find them sitting that would be awsome great vid btw.
dont think they could make a holden one. the classics that are left have all been crashed by p platers.
Funny you say that cos' I pulled into the video store near my place the other day and I parked next to a VL with P plates on, and it was missing the whole front bumper. I laughed
Yeah but not all P-Platers are the same. I try to look after my cars and drive carefully and i'm sure theres others out there that are the same.
It's the name from a couple that give the name for all.. Same with old drivers.. everyone says they're slow and a pain, my nans a bigger led foot than me LOL.
