haha yeah i had been driving to work with nothing and it was driving me nuts (normally its turned down as i cant hear it over the exahust at the moment anyway haha) so i just zip tied it in just have been lazy at the moment and havent been bothered to finish it off and put speakers and stereo in, mainly because i have to pull them from the ute and then put them in lol
Well dropped the old girl off to get a service and a few little things sorted (just a few leaky gaskets) And once I get everything up to scratch I will then take it in and get it tuned so it runs smoother and so the engine light isn't on all the time because of the manual! Fingers crossed my mechanic doesn't come back to me with a to big of a list of stuff that needs doing! I know it needs the bushes done so that will probably be next on the list.
The SS has now had a service and is running much better, haven't seen if its more economical yet though but im sure it will be. still needs a tune to sort out the manual conversion but not in a rush in case i need to upgrade things..... also needs just about every bush replaced in it (most probably all original) and also the shocks (also original is my guess haha) then just needs cosmetic things done. like: -front SS lip -stereo -and once i get it to where im happy with it i will probably give it a respray to get it looking good again
eneded up making a visit to UPI this afternoon and picked up a new stereo surround so now the center console is pretty much complete. also had a dash facia in the ute that was pretty much brand new just need to cut the hole for the fog light switch. which also needs a bracket as it is broken and while at UPI i found some inner chrome door moulds for the window, so i now have a complete set but just need to put them in. (need a bit of a polish but they should come up looking nice. but i wasnt complaining for $7 for all 4)
Yeah at the moment I found a center console piece the one that goes over the top of the center console but was shagged so didn't end up getting it. If I could be bothered I'd go up there and get the power windows out as I only need regulators then I can have power windows lol
I have 2 Calais ones but Unfortunatly the woodgrain centers are rooted tho ur got manual be a easy glass job to suite the manual
Haha it's called "u pull it" and it's just a wrecker here in Adelaide where you pull all the parts yourself which then saves you a bit of cash (usually) Good to know rabbit
