Daily VY S2 SS Man UTE build...wheels fittted

Hey guys,
Just recently (a week ago), bought my first holden...
Decided on a 03 S2 VY SS Manual UTE...
sorta convinced myself i need it for work & to occasionaly tow around my race car...

Its completly stock, so i will b asking heaps of questions (once i do a search and cant find the info im after) before i go buying anything for mods...

If its stock i would get an exhaust on it and a decent cold air intake and then a tune

Welcome to the forums good choice in a getting a Vy SS Ute there's great info on these forums and helpful members will sort you out. Looks like a factory hard-lid too whats the race car if you don't mind me asking?

I wouldnt mind a good quality intake and a bolt on cat bak...
But not atm...

I bought the ute to use the tub if u know wat i mean???
Race car is a 96 ek civic hatch, has a twin cam 1.8L Dart block with a garrett gt35/40 hanging off it

Yeah i have one of those HBD lids on mine but if you do prefer using your tub it gets tricky. It is hard to use its full capacity at the front end of the tub/tray so know what you mean.Nice though you had a DC2 Type R by looking at your wall pics. Get an exhaust asap the v8 note is half the fun of owning one just ask the pros on here to hook you up you don't want a nasty bolt on with mass drone and fitment issues.

Yeh, the lid looks the goods, but the amount of times i have taken the lid off my dads xr6 ute to use the tub is rediculous...
& u need 2 people to take them off...
Yeh i had a limited edition dc2r...was also turbocharged with a gt3037s and made a healthy 240fw kw, after it was featured in fast fours...some scum bag decided they deserved it more than me...
Ohh well...
Thats wen i bought a civic run about and went nuts on it...lol
I really wanna get a nice exhaust system on the ute, but nothing too loud or drowning...
Havnt looked at it properly...but maybe x-force twin 2.5inch???

That's true you could always get a soft cover for it does yours have a tub liner or is it just metal. Sucks about the DC2 but at least you got a EK now man i haven't played B series engines in ages.You got to love the high redline i mostly had crx's n EG's B16a's long time ago.Was on my way to building a B16A turbo but went to Subaru's.

That exhaust choice hmm I'd read some reviews on it first i don't want to diss anybody's product or company.Just do some research before your fork out the $$$. Better yet pm forum member Not_An_Abba_Fan he will sort you out exhaust guru/Specialist. I don't have a system personally from him but read great reviews etc. If i did change my current system i would be hassling him first lol.
