Just wondering if anybody had any insight into how involved this repair will be?

I have submitted a claim but only happened this afternoon. Will have to wait until Monday to see a panel shop.

That's going to be borderline depending on how much of a whack the rear suspension has taken.


Rear bar plus where it mounts.
Whole side panel up to the B Pillar
Side Skirt
Tail Light
Tonneau Cover
And then repaint half the car

Plus Rim/Suspension repair.

Thanks for the reply. I had figured it wasn’t too far off the mark. I think the insured amount may just make it repairable. Kinda wishing it was market and not ageeed value now!

Rear is all out of whack, I didn’t take a photo from rear on. It is several inches up raised on the drivers side and control arms bent. Hardlid looks very strangely aligned.

Oh well, will have to wait and see.

Yeah lucky you drive a VF anything earlier and it would probably be a write off.

If it's only the 1/4 then not so bad. If you smacked the rear rail across it might be bad

15K+ depends on how bad the damage to the rear suspension/diff is.
Have you got a price yet?

Yeah, panel shop have sent $9k quote to assessor.

Honestly thought it was more like double that.
