i think its my key but i woke up this mornin and went to drive the car could not unlock the car with the button was not working at all not for the boot or unlocking and after about 20 mins of ****EN PIECE OF **** ****EN CRAP the key worked now it works fine. now ive swapped to my spare key incase is the battry or somethin but if it does it again. what is it, couldnt be the BCM could it?

It's probably the battery in the key fob. Open the car with the spare, but drive with the main one. That will make sure all the codes are fine, as well as charge the battery. If it's still not how good it should be, then think about changing the battery, which is only like $4 from Dick Smith anyways!

Yes, the phillips head screws, undo them, then try twisting the metal part of the key and it should pull apart the two sides for you!

isnt the connection stamped into the battery like the VT keys?

and dont you have to pry it open like the VT key?

isnt it the same as the VT key?

lol ive opened mine before and its not as easy as youll make it sound:p

LOL, your right, it's not easy, but definatly doable! :p Or you could pay a locksmith like $30 to do it LOL. And yes, the VY's keys are the same as the VT ones!

LOL, ok, your not one of the people that goto dick smith's to get them to fit batteries?! :O You know how many og them i get at the non powerhouse stores!? It's ridicoulous. All because locksmiths charge heaps, and they come to us and just buy the battery and we do it!
