You’d be hard pressed to find a modern car that doesn’t have thick A pillars to meet modern safety design.

Just a new part of driving to move your head around a bit to make sure it’s clear.

There is quite a bit of literature about thick A pillars and occupant saftey relative to all manufacturers.

Most of the time, any damage to the A pillar means 'structural wreck'...
