So I've owned the ute for just over 6 months now and have pretty much loved every second of it (except the seconds spent at the petrol station...)

some specs and numbers for those interested are:

2003 VY SS Ute
6 Speed Manual

100% stock as far as the engine is concerned
The previous owner spend $3000 getting it professionally lowered with camber kits ect
Previous owner also spend $2500 on a special clutch and master/slave cylinder

Ok, now on to what I've done to it in the past year...
Nothing major,
- I fixed the exhaust up with a simple 2.5" cat-back system because the current was stuffed.
- and i got myself a new tonneau cover for the back (i hate hard tops!)
- I suppose the only "major" modification I've done to it is the $3000 sound system
(no, i didn't pay that much, thats the retail haha)
Its the full deal with touch screen, bluetooth, ect. around 800rms of power with 600 going straight to my 12" kicker solobaric sub mounted behind the drivers seat in my own custom made box. I just couldn't deal with getting a shitty space saver ute sub. 6" pioneer splits and alpine amp. i can post some pictures if anyones interested. EDIT: Pictures now below!

As far as the exterior is concerned the paint work is pretty much perfect with no scratches or dings.

Future?
Airbags in the back
Some nice black rims, 19's or possibly 20's
Full exhaust with extractors
High flow cats
Maffless tune (perhaps)
OTR intake
Bigger cam (if i win lotto)
VY HSV steering wheel

Anyways, no doubt ill be asking a ton of questions as I've just finished paying it off and I've now got money to burn on it haha

Looks nice mate! Love the utes..

You would have to be the only person ive heard of who prefers a tonneau cover rather than hard tops.. :D

Thanks mate!
did you find the economy dropped much with the mafless? I've heard so many mixed reports

Thanks!

Well my reasoning behind my tonneau preference is that i use my ute "as a ute" so i carry bikes, kayaks, quads, you name it haha, i therefore want something thats easy to get out of the way for everything to fit in. and day to day it serves the same purpose as the hard top except for it not being lockable haha, oh and hardtops are stupidly expensive. just my 2c though :spot on:

Ive also been trying to add some interior pics but its telling me a moderator needs to approve them first haha,

EDIT: ended up sticking one of the interior pics up top in the main post instead of waiting for them to be approved here

Well my car with a full exhaust used 15-16l per 100km before tune, 12-13l per 100km after mafless and 12.5-15l per 100km after cam. I also had an otr installed ( highly recommend this over standard ducting ) This was all combined driving by the way with an occasional gutfull lol.

Maybe look at getting a short shifter also. $70 off eBay. They feel and look so much better : )

nice mate she looks pretty immaculate, the red interior looks sick, sounds like you have pretty much the same plans as i do (minus bags and aftermarket rims)
