ok well every now and then (hasnt done it for a while) [i have a 93 VR acclaim] the 'low battery' and the 'no abs' light would go on, then after a while it'll turn off again... now i dunno if this was linked at all- MUST have been a coincodence, i had the air con on the last time- its not workin too good, the lights flicked on, i turned the air con off- and the dash lights turned off... can anyone help me out please? :D

Its possible your battery is either on its last legs or needs a good charge. Most VR/VS Commos need a good battery otherwise strange things can happen. Another thing to check is the alternator which may have worn brushes giving intermittent/low charge.

tighten your terminals, i had a real loose battery terminal and the same 2 dash lights you speak of used to flicker on and off. then one day i went outside in the morning and my car wouldnt unlock or start, cleaned & tightened the terminals and it was fine.
