Dash removal and airbag safety VT Wagon

Hi all, i need to remove my dash to replace heater core. What do i have to do to ensure air bag on passenger side and steering wheel are isolated from going off, is it just a matter of removing the fuse? Thanks

Simply disconnect the battery.
