Thanks mate. I was actually toying with the idea of the chrome window trims for a while (along with matching chrome mirror covers) but eventually decided against it. Looks nice, but a bit too "grandpa" for me. The new limited edition SSV's with the Pontiac front ends have the chrome window trims and seeing one of those in black helped me decide against the idea. :idea3:
Its been lowered since new - got it lowered by the dealer a year-and-a-bit ago. So yes, they've definitely settled. lol the fatties should still fit under there, it looks like there's still a fair bit of room but obviously I'd check that out first.
HAHA Awesome ride my man! Where did you get the wheels? Go the chevy badges, some bastard made another post with my VE in it baging out the badges lol the Chevy badge look awesome!
Thanks mate  I got the wheels from the dealer when the car was brand new. They got them from Wheelpower here in Sydney. Yeah there is a real "anti-Chev badge" group of people on this forum for some reason. What they don't understand is that I don't wish my car was a Chev and I'm not ashamed of it being a Holden. The Chev grille just looks so much better than the Holden equivalent IMO. And the Holden badges are too freakin massive - front and rear. Hence why I went no badge at the back. If I could do no badge with the Chev grille, then I would.. :smoking:
Hmm, yeah but I don't like that much. Just personal preference. I think it looks too much like a backyard job (which is probably exactly what it is).
They sure are. I've also recently lowered the back a bit more. Went from SSL's to SSSL's, so the back is now about 15mm lower than the original pics. I must get around to posting up some updated pics soon...
Ok, as above, here are some pics of the car with the new lower springs in the back. Ride is a tad stiffer but the look is worth it IMO - especially in the flesh!
Thanks mate! I got a good deal on a pair of Kings springs for the back which I couldn't go past, so went with them for the rear. Fronts are still Pedders.
So while I'm in a picture posting mood, I thought I'd post up some pics of the "SSV support vehicle" lol. Holden Cruze CDX petrol manual. I bought it a few months ago mainly for the missus. I couldn't help myself, the next day I went and lowered it and put mags on it. Looks the goods now IMO and overall a great little car for what it is. My only gripe - too underpowered! If Holden could just make these things with say 25% more power, they'd be onto a real winner...
Love this car...can't beat a black VE can we. hehe wheels look awesome, loose the spoiler and she will be mint!
Thanks. Yeah, I have a G8 rear wing on my shopping list, as well as a GXP rear diffuser. I want to do the rear wing properly though - as in plug up the holes and get the boot lid resprayed.
They're already onto a winner... Their target market is not looking for a powerful small/mid sized car.
Nice! Love the mags, so not only is the car hard to keep clean, I assume you would have the same issue with the black sections on your rims, they reallllly suck to clean!! silver is awesome hey haha! I'm with HERLUV, never been a spoiler fan, otherwise, nice and neat!
*UPDATE* I finally got round to getting the Phreddy interior lighting mod done a few weeks ago. I went for blue & white. Absolutely stoked with the way it turned out - HUGE improvement over the silly red. Let me know what you reckon:
Oh, BTW I also sent the head unit down to No Limit Electronics in Melbourne and they changed the display colour of the LCD H/U screen to blue as well for me. Matches nicely now...
