    Hey all,
I have been given a soundstream picasso (i think picasso) 350wrms dvc 4ohm sub to play with. My mate ran a pair of these off a 1500wrms mono and one day, they just stopped working.
The voice coils are all intact, the cone everything still looks perfect. I cannot get this sub to respond at all.
I wired it down to 2ohms and ran if off my infinity 2ohm stable mono.

Could the sub be 'blown' in some way that is not at all visible?

    Any ideas?

    Thankyou.

Have you tried pushing the cone in?
I had a Kenwood one that if you pushed on it it would work until it hit a hard note then cut in and out and stuff.

Measure the resistance... Does it measure OK? If it's not working, highly doubtful...

It's most likely burnt coil or a break somewhere. Use a multimeter to try and find the fault is.

    I don't have a multimetre :( but i'll try borrow one off a mate.

I checked the coils really really well and they look all intact thats what is so surprising to me

There's no point continuing until you have a multimeter.
