I need some help , been driving my car all weekend , got brand new heavy duty battery, light is green, all terminals aok.Tried starting car this evening, completely dead, absolutely nothing happens when putting key into ignition.

Colleague of mine has suggested an earthing fault .

Anyone else got any other ideas? prior to me having to go the way of an auto electrician.

    Cheers

    Earths is a good start.
    Check for codes.

Try turning your headlights on and moving the battery terminals.
If there is a contact issue in them, the lights will come on when connection is made.

Id also check the fusible links, which are located in the smaller box below the fuse box under the bonnet. The main 60 amp fusible link has a small bolt underneath it that holds it in place, and you need to remove this bolt before the link can be removed. The other fusible links just pull straight out from their sockets.
