2007 SV6 60th Aniversary VE UTE
Hey guys/girls, i am the owner of a 2007 SV6 60th ute, i have a massive issue.

My battery is deadflat and my key wouldn't work, i think it might be deadlocked but i am not sure, my owners manual is locked in the car..

ontop of that i read that when it is deadlocked you just have to force it abit and it will pop open.. clearly that was wrong as i just snapped my spare key in the effing door!

any advice would be awesome before i put my foot through the bloody window

sincerely, a frustrated man.

I know it's not much help, but I dead locked my wk statesman in a parking lot once and no idea how but someone managed to break into it, so it can be done. Don't give up :)

The VE doesn't have a dead lock feature, so it won't be deadlocked. The VE key locks are meant to rotate constantly if the wrong key is put in also. This makes it harder to break in, so you can't jam a screwdriver in to unlock it. It will just turn. This is info on how the locks work but not sure if any is useful to you to get into the car.

Thank you nick, this gives me hope that RACV might be able to break into my car!

Illusion I successfully got the key out! A Minor victory for the day!

I'll call RACV and see if they can work their magic
