hey all, just got my hands on a 2000 wh statesman and was wondering if the lion on the boot has guide holes behind it?

I just took the badge off the rear of my statesman international. there are no guide holes behind the badge on the boot.

I think this had been covered, but to be honest, cbf going through the thread...

The black mouldings on the side.. What is the best/most efficient way to remove these? Heat em up, peel them off and then use a caramel wheel?

Any help asap would be much appreciated, thanks!

Not sure if this is going to help but I used to work for a signwriting shop and had to de badge a lot of vehicles. I used to pour boiling water over the badges first which made them slide of very easily with the fishing line.

Just did mine today.
Heatgun for about 5 seconds then ran floss under the badge and cleaned off the rest with Methylated Spirits.
Took around 5 minutes or so and the results are VERY good, no sign at all of the old badges.
