I run BP ultimate 98 in my 6. Seems to be good stuff and lasts longer.

The others dont seem to go as far and theres really no difference power wise.

If you want power however, Mix a bottle of horsepower boost with a tank of 98;)

From a test done a few years ago Mobil 8000 got better mileage in performance vehicles. VPower was second and BP's fuel was third. This was tested in Victoria though. Might be different in other states.

I only run Mobil 8000 in my car, loves it and i get more km's out of my tank than the previous fuel i was using (Shell Vpower). Which got more mileage than normal unleaded anyways. Recently i havn't been concerned with fuel usage, so i think i'm up at 16L/100km, but you can feel the throtlle response is better just from changing to Mobil 8000 from VPower.

Mobil is actually my closest fuel station to my place (actually, i take that back, second closest). Tullamarine Mobil has Synergy 8000, and Taylors Lakes Mobil (about a 10 minute drive when obeying speed limit) also has Synergy 8000. Use this tool to find places that have it:
    Mobil Fuels

First click your state, then the 8000 logo, then look at the list :)

Oh, it's worth that drive :)

I wouldn't touch Vortex with a 10 foot stick anymore. It has run like crap in many of my mates vehicles and i lost km's by using that fuel. I get staff discount there for working for Woolworths, and it's worth going to Mobil and paying full price for the 8000! Actually, anything beats Caltex i reckon :) Although some people swear by them, but i know it's not for me and my mates cars.

is all the same sh*t... the difference between them is unnoticeable in a daily driven street car

i can't believe you guys would drive an extra 20min round trip to get one over the other... ridiculous

I'm about to go back to BP 98 (currently using BP 95) and see if my Senator picks up anything on a dyno touch up in a few weeks. Bigger TB is going on too, but will start running a few tanks of 98 through from this week and see if it helps out in anyway.

I filled up with the Mobile 8000 last week and I have to say... Best i've used so far!
Still runnin the same tank, been to spencer st and back work and back 4 times.
    Good stuff.

Only problem with it so far is that the nearest Mobil is over 100kms from me haha

    Hi Guy's,

The best fuel I've found is the Mobil 8000 with Vortex 98 a very very close second.

Shell Optimax/ V Power has a high sulphur content to boost octane and the others don't.

My only criticism of Vortex 98, is that it goes off quickly. Left in a fuel tank over a week, the car or superbike performs worse.

    Fresh is Best! :D
