- VE LPG Wagon
Hi,
I recently purchased a 2012 Dedicated LPG Wagon which seems to have an intermittent starting issue. The car starts every time, sometimes starting within less than a second, other times it needs to crank for 5 seconds. Once running, it's perfect and smooth. The only other strange thing I have noticed is that very rarely, once started, air con will pump from all vents except the ones blowing in your face. Restarting the car solves this. Strange.
Starting at the bottom, I've:
- Replaced the battery
- Had the LPG system serviced + new gas filter
- Cleaned the throttle body and replaced air filter
- Changed the spark plugs
- Diagnostics reveal injectors are performing equally
- No fault codes
- Combined economy seems to sit at 14.4l/100km, rather than the official figure of 11.8. I don't have a heavy foot.
Would it be safe to assume that ignition coils would be the next place to look? Would they show a fault on the cars computer if one was on it's way out?
Finally, has anybody ever used the cheap coils available on eBay? Or should I steer clear of them?
Thank you!
