You probably have all heard that at some stage if you own a VX but just lately I have had it playing during hard braking. No other indications. Doesn't happen during normal braking. Is it trying to tell me I need new pads or something?

Thanks but there doesn't seem to be anything on there about a chime during braking. I was thinking if pads are down there could be a pressure differential happening between front and back circuits under heavy braking triggering the alarm. Too damn hot here in Qld to be out jacking her up to check though.
I think you will find it might be a low oil pressure chime. If you are a bit low on oil and you brake hard the oil moves to the front away from the oil pick up.

just wondering how much fuel you had in the car maybe due to the fuel sloshing around it was a low fuel warning chime

Just turn the music up or brake more softer..

Nah seriously your oil is to thin or hot slushing forward away from the sensor, what oil are you using? Being so hot 15w or even 20w 40 0r 50 in this heat..
