Delco ECU replaced with refurbished ACA ECU not starting

Hi,

I have an ECU that is going in limp mode and flash ECU light.

I bought a ACA refurbished ECU and swapped the MEMCAL to ACA.

Its kicking over but not starting.

ECU is for VN, VP its the 808 one

What codes are you getting? Have a look at this:

No codes on both ECU, no flashing

Borrow a known working ecu...v6 wont matter,if it starts turn it off put your v8 memcal in & see if it starts again.

If you're getting CEL light there should be a code.

I will try, I havent been gettings any code the last week, just a hard on light when I bridge the two pins

You'll always get a code even if just systems ok code 12

disconnected the battery for 40 minutes, no I get
code 12 on new ACA ECU with my MEMCAL
Code 12 on old delco with my MEMCAL starts but smells of petrol and running rough

Petrol smell often suggests FPR.

No need for 40+ minute wait that is for vr/s....vp is different,key fob for on/off but majority already turned off passenger door jamb with key.

code 12 means time to start checking things like filters,plugs,ignition coil,fuel pressure etc...also check all the earths even back off passenger head earth.

If it hasn't been serviced in ages or things might need going over untill fluke it.

clever man, I just checked the spark plugs and they are all filthy and have dirt, I'l try the oxy on them, thanks
