VE Series 2 SV6 in Red Hot, waiting for my VF11 SS
So the dealer has told be that my SS is likely to be about 4 months away, can anybody on here get any "insider" info on programmed build dates?

Once the order is placed, it seems to be very accurate. Once it was in the system they gave me a 2-3 day window when it would arrive and they were bang on. I called about half way through that period and they were able to tell me it was at some testing station and still on track for the date.

One of the dealers on here can probably explain, but there seemed to be a variable portion at the start when the dealer didn't know when the order would be allocated, but once it was in the system, they knew almost to the day !

I've got a 7 week waiting on a Calais v sportwagon. Was first told by the dealer ordered cars are 8 - 12 weeks on average.

Considering Holden aren't exactly breaking sales records, I'm surprised that a special order car takes this long nowadays. I remember ordering a special build VE ute back in '08 (non standard colour) and that was 3 weeks.

I admit that was a bit lucky, but to be told 4 months for a locally built car is ludicrous.

times might improve as the year goes on, they were shut for Christmas, they did a whole batch of hire car builds, then did a whole batch of Chevy SS builds and then end of this month they will start local orders, so wait times may improve by mid april

Just be thankful it's not a Ford.
They won't even build the bloody things anymore.

Just cancelled my new FGX XR6 ute, waited 4 months, got told yesterday they may not even build it in the next 3 months, due to no parts.

So a fair few backorders, what is the scheduled build for the rest of this month? and do you think now with the amount of workers that have finished up its harder to maintain these numbers?

Mine was ordered around 2 weeks ago and I've been told late April delivery for a Redline.

And I was only reading yesterday about the wiz bang Sprint models being released.
