demister not working! :(

    ok, my demister has only 3 working bars :( and they happen to be the 3 bottem ones which makes driving a lil difficult. any ideas at the cost to fix this and were from??

    i would say a window/tinting place maybe... or maybe check for any cuts in the wires or connections on the demister.., good luck champ!!

    you can buy a demister repair patch thing, its conductive strips u stick over the cracks in the demister lines.

    and if there are breaks in the demister strips then go to jaycar and by some conducting silver paint!
    pretty much if a couple of bars work is WILL be breaks in the strips. this silver paint stuff comes in a small vial and is not a thick strip or anything like that.
    or is you are cheap (and dont like the car just use solder!)

    Or do like what we did in the old days - rub soap on the glass.....or use one of the many anti-misting products. A new rear window is about $200.
    Have seen a kit on Ebay or somewhere to join the broken heating elements together but also have read reports that this kit may not work. Sorry I cannot give you a helpful answer.

    Soap stops it misting. Or slows it down anyway.
