Hey guys,
I've been looking into doing a wash, clay, and wax of my VE, but I have no idea what to go with.

I was thinking Meguiar's (I've used some of their stuff)
But I want suggestions on what people use.
So what would you guys recommend for wash, clay, and wax?
Cheers

There are so many options and views on what is best.

I use Meguiars Next Gen car wash weekly and their clay bar kit and Next Gen wax for detailing.

Been using them for years now and am happy with it.

I wash with Megs Wash n Wax and once every few years give it a going over with a megs clay bar. I picked up some Sonax HSV wax at a market somewhere that works well when I get time for that.

Some big advances in this area recently.

Snow foam the car.
Wash the car.
Iron remover.
I use Meguiars clay bar.
Then corrective procedures polish or compound depending on the circumstance.

Once the paint is sorted we now dip into the modern age of detailing on an amateur level with hybrid ceramic waxes and sealants.

Maguiars is crazy good. I did a Rav4 that had never been touched ever and just washed and tried the Hybrid ceramic and it blew my mind for what it achieved.

My eye twitches to say this but fricken shitty turtle wax is a serious contender in the market. They do two that are flippin’ fantastic and one is cheaper than maguiars. Seal and shine. They now do a liquid wax as well. Amazing. Not available in Australia yet.

PTFE waxes, like Fuso Wax, are also good but they stink. Japanese style detailing.

Then there is the serious ceramic coatings that sh it on anything else.

I like this Melbourne detailer (Santo ?) His videos are right up there. He is positive and objective in his approach to paint correction. You can learn heaps. I think it’s only AMMO NYC that teaches you as thoroughly and simply other than Santos videos (soz if I got his name wrong)

As VS 5.0 & Fu Manchu said,
I am also Meguiars user,
I have used Mothers and Auto Glim products,
But always gone back to Meguiars, just cant go past the results their products produce.
Remembering having the right tools to do the job, cuts your time in half.

Hi
I personally use the Bowdens Own product range of wash, clay bars, Three Way decontamination and waxes. I find them to be really good and reasonably priced.
