Yeah, imgur , but I can only get it to work download pics using the desktop . Found that I can upload a file from tablet as long as photo is taken on tablet (must be lower quality/ smaller file)..
Get the Imgur app. It takes seconds to upload.

Put a new clutch in the bike this weekend. I had been planning to for a while. But draining the oil helped motivate me:

Soaking frictions:

The old clutch which would slip at the top of 3rd, and also sometimes when warm and smashing gears. (Worked perfectly fine puting around town)

That shot is actually missing 2 frictions and 2 steels which I hadn't pulled out of the basket and was tripping me when my clutch stack was protruding past the fingers, :D

I got it all in and adjusted up nicely in the end.

Tried to show and teach my kids about it and how it works too.

So two weeks ago I saw a wet stain under the bike before leaving work.
I checked and it was fuel. Hmmm.
Came from here:

And also visually here:

Which the two are connected via a tube for the wiring that goes through the tank.
Probably only an issue because I filled it recently.

So next up was pulling the gauge out and looking. And to say I was shocked is an understatement!

YUCK!
Probably too much washing and riding in all weather and maybe the drain was blocked and the top seal was letting water past. Damn!

So drained off about 5litres of gasoline. Sanded it, and got a Dremel stone in there (by hand). More sanding with different grades, some metal bonded fuel safe sealant, more sanding, PA10 on exposed metal. And then reassembled.

All sorted by the end of the next week and I could ride it again.
Stoked my custom paint work is okay, and the tank should be fine for quite a while yet.

Had the seat recovered. The original was dry and cracking in the lower edges.
New marine vinyl with all factory stitching position. Upholsterer said the condition is still very good under the vinyl which makes me happy.
Also purchased a gel pad for on the back of the seat. I'm hoping for a few more 2-up rides.

Local Street drags today. 1/8th mile
1st run - 0.144 reaction, 8.127 E/T
2nd run - no time slip
Then remembered I am not supposed to use the clutch going down the track. Whoops (3 years since I last raced it)
3rd run - red light which at this setup also means no time slip. Probably a very high 7 though......

13 bikes entered. Only the top 8 go through.
I qualified 8th with my 1 run on the board.

Lined up, did my burnout, stop!
Wait for a big steam train to pull up next to the racing, change track, and leave again (scheduled and expected).
Burnout again (my competitor, aka number 1 qualifier, did not),
Up to the line:

And,

He past me with less than a metre to go.
I ran the numbers afterwards, and he finished 0.008 seconds before.
Rats!!

A fun day despite the delays (timing light issues, train etc) and only having info on half my runs.

There's something about racing on a bike that is just so cool and fun and thrilling. I miss it. Might get back out on the track one day.
