Right rear side window is in. And helps make that corner appear more finished.

Still need sealant at the bottom and side tracks in. But mostly looking good.

Side tracks are in and sealant around the bottom corners (gorilla, clear gutter sealant).
Also when I got home in the car last night, I put the 3 steering box metal mount plates on the intake manifold to gentle warm for 2 hours. Then painted them in the cold and got good adhesion and finish from the looks of it.
Picked up longer hardware for the steering box yesterday, so should have that mounted later today too.

Slowly chipping away at it all.

Yeap. Definitely easy with alot of stuff. Clearance to guard mounted stuff may be an issue later on though.
But I'm oh so close to having steering now:

I've missed a few updates. So here goes.
Got 4 shocks for $3. So hopefully a few rubbers and that's the front sorted. Unfortunately none are appropriate for my rear axle.
Pulled the rear corner panel out:

Slowly picked the crumbly top seal out.
Had to cut a few screw heads off to remove window channels and get windows out.
But after all that it's had a quick rub down:

So patch prime soon and set aside for paint day. Also the skirts in that picture too. They are rubbed for prime. And also here is one dummy fitted after roughly hammering out some damage.

That's about all for now. Hopefully have front fenders, bonnet, rad panel and unpainted doors ready for a paint session in a month or so. Which will be the last of the painting except for the roof.

A month without updates. WOW, sorry guys (and gals).
Been quite busy lately, getting my house sorted and it is now on the market. Our little family is relocating across the island.
But with the truck, I got a bonnet:

And it wasn't priced to badly, and it looks in pretty good condition.
Add to that the corner panel is primed ready for paint. Also the side skirts are primed ready to paint.

Oh, and a local engineer friend has extended my drag link to suit the position of the steering box (as opposed to the short length required for manual steering relay).
I'll get a picture up at some stage.

Paint booth tentatively booked for the 12th.

Update: 2nd row doors are near enough to ready for paint. They won't be show car. But close enough for now.
A week until paint day. Let's see what else I can have ready.
On other notes, the steering wheel now moves the wheels. Despite different manufacturers using different threads and nut sizes on tie rod ends. So not 100% finished in this area, but enough for loading onto a trailer etc.
Photos of drag link and a fitted (floating) bonnet:

Bonnet hinges removed. Wire wheeled the bonnet frame, and rubbed down the top side.
Next up is more frame attention, (rust convertor or PA10, depending on condition) and then a quick guide primer. Should be able to get the bonnet ready for paint day.

Add to the paint list the bonnet.
I applied PA10 to the framing, and then a quick guide prime over it all, a bit heavier on framing, and quick rub back.
Plus the bonnet catch bracket, and a headlight trim piece also ready for paint.
Started on the LH front wing last night, but will be a long-shot to have that ready in time.
