Hey guys, getting my car a major service sometime soon.
I'm just wondering whether a diagnostic or electronic tune will overwrite the memcal in any way?
Might take note to the 69mm TB as well, otherwise what exactly do they do in these tunes?

Hey frogsta,

It's extremely unlikely that they would touch your tune that we supplied when you take the car in for a service

The definition of a tune up on an ecotec to the average mechanical workshop, involves changing sparkplugs, leads and possibly a diagnostics check. The term tune up is largely redundant to the average mechanic these days as modern cars no longer have a distributor with points or a carby to adjust

Hope this helps

Cheers,
Steve
