I went to the smash repairer today to get a quote on some boot work. Upon inspection I was told that my boot wasnt sitting right because there are boot strusts, he said these were NOT standard in VP's. Can anyone varify this? Does anyone have boot struts and the spring rods, because I have both.

I dont no if the VP had them but VN didnt.
They may have been added to take the weight of the spoiler. I know the only way to make my boot stay up in the VK is either remove the spoiler or put struts in, its just the spoiler is just that little bit to much weight and the springs cant handle it.
The VT has a spoiler and gas struts and it works good, but i dont know if it was standard as we bought it like that.

Struts were added to models fitted with boot spoilers from factory to help keep the boot up I think, not sure if that included the bootlip style wings.
