Would those sand recovery tracks be enough to get some extra height to get the jack under? Or there is low ramps made of plastic (5tonne rating) to get the car up a bit. Lifts it by about 80mm.

I purchased a set of ramps that were specially designed for low cars many years ago. They just fit under the front of my Gen-F2 GTS so that I can get the required clearance to use an hydraulic jack on the front cross member. The items in the link below look like they would also provide the required clearance for a jack and at a reasonable price.

Yep, will only get just over a litre in the diff, so 1.2 - 1.3 would be correct

Diff oil stinks and will look quite dirty - I've changed my ve out twice and looks dirty as hell each time

My VEs Diff oil has been changed twice after 5000klms and is dirty each time. I take it that's normal?

I'm presume so...
Must be something to do with the LSD, as I change the better half's diff oil at the same interval as mine and it's always golden brown - Same genuine fluid gets used
Further to that, my diff doesn't have a hard life either, so there's no sinister reason as to why the old oil is dark and smelly

ZF LSD clutch packs aren't renowned for their longevity, probably the cause of the dirtiness.
