I've just taken that car in for a wheel alignment etc etc and asked to check out some squeaking that has come from the rear. I have been told at first it was wheel bearing but after closer inspection they have told me it the diff and will need a diff strip down and rebuild at a cost of around $800. :bang: Has anyone else had this done and if so was it done cheaper?
I have been told its more because of IRS and LSD.

Yeh not sure, originally they told me it was a wheel bearing which is what i suspected it to be as well. But i couldnt hear the noise that they said it was. They did say that they put it on the hoist and could hear bearings in the diff grinding.
I took it to my normal mechanic and he is takin a look 2moro for me so hopefully he will have something different to say.
