Hey All,

What's the key differences between a 2016/2017 base SS wagon and an SS-V Redline wagon?

From what I can see it's the leather interior, suspension (FE-2 vs FE-3) and brakes. Can't see too much else, unless I'm mistaken?

Considering the difference between the models is 20-30k now, might be more cost effective to get a base model SS and just add the SS-V Redline add-ons. Moreso if you consider that the suspension and/or brakes component is nullified if you were going to go with HSV brakes and/or would lower the car.

Cheers

Usually I'd say the Redline was going to cost less in the long run as it'd hold the extra amount you paid now; but the current CoronaGlitch will calm down within the normal amount of time you'd own a car, so now's basically a bad time to buy a Redline IMHO.

There really isn't much else. You get that Performance Mode in the Redline, but someone like Tazzi can probably flash your SS to get you that mode.

HUD is a biggie, if SS gets that.

The staggered wheels & tyres would cost a fair bit to buy.

Oh - something that won't be on that RedBook list is the fact that along with the Brembo brakes a different master cylinder is fitted, which I think is supposed to be a better unit. Whether that's at all a Thing once you fit the AP calipers off an HSV, I dunno, probably not measurable if you're not tracking it.

The -V bit

but there's an SS, SSV and an SSV-Redline!

When i bought my redline i test drove a regular ss-v and it was missing quite a few buttons and things, oh and the redline had a sunroof which just sealed the deal.

No sunroof in wagon nor premium sound
Sedan has more differences ssv vs ssvr than wagon.
