Hi there,

I was wondering what the physical differences were between V6 and V8 radiators

My V6 tends to run a bit warm in hot weather, especially since I fitted the bullbar, and I thought that a bigger radiator may help with cooling.

Any thoughts?

V6, alloy, single row, plastic side tanks with mounts for the thermofan.

V8, copper/brass, double row, no mounting for a thermofan.

Also not exactly sure if the inlet/outlet hoses are the same sizes but both radiators are the same size.

I had a VN BT1 V8 radiator in my VP v6 wagon. Top hose was a struggle to get on as the inlet is a little bigger than the V6 radiator. Also I used the v6 thermo, mine had tabs/clips on the bottom that allowed the shroud to lock in place, then used 2 screws in the top to hold it. I did have to take the rubber bushes off the tabs on the end tanks where the clips hold it down as it wouldn't fit with them on (it was sitting higher than the v6 radiator too for some reason)
