Needing a new driver's door acuator, I saw price $400 from new-old-stock merchants! Now the actuator was also used by Opel,Vauxhall and GM Brazil, so must be millions of them. I located a new actuator overseas for about A$100, thought I was clever. Then I find inside my door is an adapter cable. It has 92056 and 951 in bigger font. I can't find this in web search. But the plug on the end looks exactly like what in a VY. So did some VS get the VT-VZ actuators? They are smaller, with different mounting holes, so presumably use the VT-VZ door latch to go with them. And then are the connecting rods different as well?
Looking on fleabay, I see 2 listings: one for "VS SS actuator" and another "VS Caprice actuator" which look like the VT-VZ actuator.

It's more likely that the original actuator died and that was the superceded standard replacement part at the time. It would have been far easier and cheaper to manufacture, stock, and use a single single standardised improved actuator with a cheap conversion loom that it would have been to keep manufacturing both actuators side by side.
