Differents between L98 and L77

Hi guy

How do l tell the diffence between an L98 - L77- LS2.
The engine has come out of a wm statesman and they came out with all 3.
Ive been told to buy an L98 need to know what to look for so l dont buy the wrong 1.

L77 has AFM L98 doesn't, in a nutshell, there are a few other very minor differences, a quick google search will answer any more indepth questions

Auto L77 has AFM.

The manual L77 has all the afm gear in the engine too but it’s turned off in the tune

L98 was an L76 with DOD delete.
L77 was an upgraded L76 with different cam and lifters.
LS2 was a Gen IV block with Gen III heads.

Don't buy any Holden chev with AFM or displacement on demand tech. The L98 was a 270kw beast compared to all other variations. The L98 has a stronger cam, crankshaft etc also. I own 1 and a LS3 SSV. Good strong engine L98 compared to my ls1 ss VT and LS3 SSV 2017. Good luck bro
