V8 needs a v8 dash to work properly....tacho and temp gauge will not read accurately everything else is the same if you use a v6 one ...plenty of posts about level 3 dash installs ...do a search.

    Modifications

    Hi,

It is possible to modify the tacho from V6 to V8 if you are electronically capable. Not sure about the temperature gauge however.

I have a V8 tacho and temperature guage if you might want to go down that path.

I have done the mod myself on a V6. The hardest part was getting hold of the patch harness. In the worst case, you can get a HSV patch harness, and have the one you require modified from that. I probably have the part number for that harness somewhere if you need it - cost a bit less than $100 I believe.
