But the above method will most definitely give you an accurate speed measurement (and also if your odometer and trip meter is reading fast or slow), which you can then compare to what both speedo's (and if available your GPS) is telling you.

Only if those road signs are exact. Which they're not. Because the RTA use the truck odometers to measure where to put them. lol

Hey guys i wasn't saying that the speedometers are inaccurate, I was just pointing out that the digital and analogue speedos show different readings at one time.

which would mean that one of them is inaccurate.

had the cruise set at 130, speedo was the same. GPS was saying 124
figured the speedo was running faster

i swear to god

checked an astra today, also yesterday arvo checked a fpv f6 and a monaro
theyre all 5 km's out above at least 40 km's an hour

i swear to god!~ it a conspiracy

Mine was, it's called putting 18" wheels when they're calibrated for 16".. @ 100kph i was doing 106kph.


As for this, In my dads SSV, it did the same thing, but the dial isn't facing you exactly, you need to move your head to the right a bit then it lines up.
