I thought it was bottom out on first glance lol. Looks like rear suspension has collapsed and the control arms have been bent haha
It is meant to look ####ed and it does...except this looks ####ed and retarded! Welcome to the new age of mods...
If you cant put both front and rear wheels at the camber then whats the point? All your telling people is that you did the rear cause its easy and you want maaddd camber but arent prepared to do a mod properly and get the whole car looking right
Im all for modding and respect ones vision. I dont mind stanced, done right can look good. Hey in about 45mins i go past a silvia that looks great stanced, but is nicely done. dijm8, yours looks too much especially without front done. But the rears, too much IMHO. But cudos for doing what you want to do.
Looking at these pics now, it would have just looked good if you just slammed it with like the smallest amount of camber if needed. I know I said I like it in previous posts, but that looks really over the top. Just my opinion. Give it a little tappy, tap, tap Tapatalk.
Everyone be nice, he's only trying to learn something new. Nothing wrong with that. On the other hand, it does look like your trying way too hard to make an impreza something its not. The whole idea behind an AWD vehicle is to get a better contact patch, 4 powered wheels is better then 2. What you've effectively been done is reduce the tyre contact patch by adding too much camber. This kinda nullifies the whole idea behind the Subaru. You also can't stand behind the reasoning that "it handles better", because it doesn't. For the same reasons above, you'd be having uneven tyre wear which would diminish the only grip you had in the first place. Plus i doubt your tyres would get to the correct temperatures. There's also the cost factor of spending large sums of money on a base spec vehicle, which if anything would cause the value to depreciate faster. If you ever needed to sell it, you'd have to market it towards a very small niche. If the vehicle is financed, that opens a whole other kettle of fish. Lenders would usually require you to have comprehensive insurance (assuming you took a car loan, not a personal loan), and if your insurance doesn't cover the modifications you've performed you'll be up shits creek if you have an accident. The lenders written-off policy would probably be voided, so you'd be stuck with a big big big bill. On top of all this, you may just be doing it for the visual appeal. But consider this, how long is this perticular look going to be considered "cool"? How long until the Japanese do something else and everyone jumps onto that bandwagon? Last thing you'd want is 3 years down the track to have everyone look at you like you've got 17" chrome spinners, altezza lights, and a dragon decal down the side. But I'm confident you've considered all of the above, so keep at it!
Yep. I totally agree that it looks absolutely horrible imo and Id piss myself laughing at that if I seen it parked in the street and point it out to all my friends to also laugh at, but whatever floats your boat I guess. But I do have to ask, whats your reasoning behind only doing the rear and not the front? If you are going to go for a stanced look at least do it properly, looks retarded having the front of your car look one way and the rear another. Surely even the 'stanced' crowd are laughing at this as its been half done?
