Hi Can some please help with this.
In the VE, you can dim the instrument panel, radio etc.
you can do this by pressing the dimmer up & down switches together.
my question is should the Temp gauge & the fuel gauge stop working when this is done? It just seems strange that this happens on my VE ute.

basically all that is lit in the can is the speedo.

thanks in advance for any clarification on this

I have the Berlina and it does this too. The dimming switches will dim the lights and make them brighter when pressed individually, but if pressed together all lights except speedo will go out and the gauges will actually turn off/read 0.

it seems strange that when i do this the fuel gauge showa it is empty and the temp gauge shows cold.
i dont think this is supposed to happen but am not sure.

I might have to contact holden to find the answer if unable to find out here

Nah it is meant to happen. Because you don't see those gauges they don't need to be operational, my dads Omega is exactly the same. It will only do this when the headlights are on. If they are off it won't cut the gauges.
