Hey everyone,

I own a VZ SV6 ute 6spd manual. When I drive there is a dinging noise from under the car, sounds like it’s coming from closer to the rear end. It only makes the sound when I accelerate and gradually gets louder as I speed up. I’ve had a look under the car, and expected it to be something on the tail shaft however I can’t seem to figure it out. Nothing seems loose.
Any help would be kindly appreciated, Thank you!!

Look behind the brake callipers where the stone shields are.

Thank you! I’ll have a look. What exactly am I looking for?
Brakes Pads !
Possible Rattling because they are worn out

Is it lowered ?
Tyres have enough tread ?
Hand Brake ok ?
Rear Bushes ok ?
"as above" Centre Bearing, you need to get your hands on it and give it a big shake !
Donuts ok ?

The two things that might make a ding sound are tail shaft, and the backing plates or shields/guards behind the brake callipers. Wheels off for an inspection.

Is there something dangling and hitting exhaust?
