honestly: not trying to be a dick. but if i were you id strip those springs back off, number them all, then give that head a good old scrubbing down.

god knows how much grit is now inbetween your valves and seats.

dude everything needs to be SPOTLESS when youre reassembling. dont fkn cut corners! you know im a messy bastard at the best of times, but i dont fk around with clenliness when im reassembling.

everything is cleaned, then re-cleaned, then re-re-cleaned until a clean rag comes back clean when its wiped over it:

not a single spec of dust, dirt, oil or grit:

spotless, clean and dry:

takes ages, but it all needs to be clean:

even your workbench... looks like its metal? you should be resting stuff on wood, plastic or rubber.

this is the stage when you really need to be taking care in your work.

Yea your right as usual, can't believe i didnt think of using a ####ing pressure cleaner on the heads instead of just degreaser and a rag.

Yep, clean it again m8 before you get tooo far in. Like any job , prep work is one of the most important things to do if you want a good outcome. I know you are excited and cant wait to get her running , but a day or so cleaning parts isnt much and you will proud of a job well done later on. Cheers

Old Shits piling up.

Brake pads turned up today which was surprising, GSL really got those out fast.

So will be rolling the SS outside tomorrow after i do the rear brakes and tail-shaft doughnut (this way i don't need to put the whole car back up on stands again, only the front to refit the cats.)

Rockers Rebuilt with the comp kit, heads cleaned up a lot better then last time :p
