Hi. I just bought a VX and it has an after market alarm on it. I want to take this out for a few reasons-

    - it has been going off a few times for no reason and sometimes it takes forever to turn it off
    - if i try to double lock the car with the remote (by pushing the button twice), the alarm goes off
    - i dont like it

how would i go about taking it out.. or at least disabling it?

i have two keys, which under the bonnet, their is a box where the alarm sound comes from. I turn the key and the sound stops, but i think the alarm still works, just doesnt make a sound because the lights still flash. I want to disable this altogether.

    Any ideas? thanks

It is not a job for an amatuer, try and identify the alarm, someone on the forum may have a diagram.
The control module is usually located near the ignition switch. you will need to identify each wire and then cut or join as required
