The other day i pointed out the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) on my dad's VT Ecotec. Anyway he was saying that if we could disable it somehow it might put out some more POWER :D . So if i just disconnect the wiring going to it will it cause any foreseen problems that you know about? has anybody else done this? cheers

    Egr....

The Nipple welded to my pacemakers is connected to the EGR pipe....... However the extractors have not been drilled out for the gas to circulate through the nipple.... Is this a problem?

the sensor will tell the computer there is a fault if it is disconnected or not operating correctly, as for leaving it disconnected, i tried it, didnt make any differnce and car ran like ****.

The EGR is controlled through the PCM and doesn't operate at anywhere near WOT. In addition to the fault codes and poor running, disabling it would result in no change in power, certainly produce more emissions and likely increase fuel consumption (though probably not greatly).
