    hey people,
might be a bit of a stupid question but hey, thats what this fourm is for is it not?
Can you super charge your V6 yourself?
if you had a "how to" to follow?
I know mechanics can do it, so I guess they could do it at home also. But can the average joe do it?

The average Joe can do it but it wont be succesfull. There's about 100 cars on here with SC14's on them and about 5 that ever ran/ran properly. Those 5 people weren't average

I was always under the impression that Raptor and CRS SC14 kits were easy enough for Joe Average (if he knows how use a spanner :p)

I thought tuning was the only real variable with kit blowers.

No your under the wrong impression... a sc14 kit bought from crs is easy to install but a full diy sc14 requires a extra bit of engineering skills or 'know how' ehehe know who even.

A sc14 kit bought from crs will cost virtually the same as building a intercooled 10psi kit if you do it yourself. With helpful welder mates and equipment.

if you are keen enough you can do what ever you want....

its a prick of a job.. trust me i made my sc14 kit from just the blower. Lots of hours of work and fiddly stuff.
    Have fun

Dunno about Raptor but the CRS kit is an easy install. Getting it to work with high boost on the computer does take a fair bit of stuffing about though. Plumbing a intercooler for high boost is also very much a make it up as you go proposition.

The raptor kit is pretty easy, a couple of ladies on another forum with no hands on experience were able to install them without too many issues.

This question would only be asked if you had never cast your eye over a blower kit actually installed on a vehicle, otherwise you would be able to assess the skill level involved for yourself.

I suggest you find someone with a kit and have a look at it, you may find you might be able to improve on things if you can get your head around it.

    Good luck.

Yea I gave up after planning... looking at turning my exhaust manifolds and twin/single turbo conversion. Going to measure it all up this weekend.
