Sean ur being told crap, Vl 3lt have HITACHI ignitions thats it, pt number is GH618 is for a dizzy cap and the letter H in that pt number means H is for Hitachi..

NISSAN Skyline RB30E also uses HITACHI same pt number and same info as above..

Nearly all Nissan stuff has Hitachi ignition systems, only 1 or 2 models use different brands..

well from a post before in another thread i made about misfiring, i posted this

yah the nissain dude asked me what brand was my dissy and i said hatasi ( the commodores dissy) and then he told me the price,
i asked what was the diffreance between the two brands and all i was told is that the skyline used a dissy made by mitsibishi and the commie used the hatasi type, so tahts proberly why he wanted 235bucks

I think the nissan dudes iron mask makes him tell fibs too as Both nissan and Commodore RB30E both had Hitachi dizzy's ..
And check that ur new dizzy cap's part number is GH 618 and the rotor button is GH 619, both the same 4 nissan 3.0 lt..

the rotary button is, GH619 and the dissy cap is GH618
so it is the same numbers as u stated

yah when i bought them to at ricebahn the dude asked what type of dissy i had, i said the hatahi and he got the dissy cap out and showed me, looked exatly the same,
the mitsibishi cap had some wierd extra moulded bump on the cap, and then it was i found out by 'the iron masked man' (nissan dude)that apparntly the holdens had the hatahi and the nissan used the mitsibishi

ill look it up as im intressted to know,

yah i got the brands wrong but nissan and autobahn both said there was a diffrance, and as i said there was a extra moulded bump on it, so i dont know

When the CAS died on my VL i went to the wreckers and got another distributor which was off a SKYLINE. The distributor fitted and the holden distributor cap fitted, but the rotor button would not. The shaft on the nissan distributor is slightly thicker so the holden rotor button will not fit. When the CAS died on the SKYLINE distributor i decided to buy a new CAS to put in my old distributor and was told that nissan and holden CAS are different and the SKYLINE one costs about three times as much as the HOLDEN one so i bought the HOLDEN one.
