No,
You dont need spacers, and spacers are illegal. You will need smaller tires than VE spec though. 235 / 40 and your speedo will be pretty close, I think I have about 10mm clearance from the struts on my ute. And, you do need to get the VE rims macchined, the centre bore is a couple of mm too small. And yeah, I am running superlows

ive got these on my vs ute, you will need to rap them in 235 tyres or they will scrub on your strut tower. My spedo hasnt change since putting the new rims on mate. always get compliment about them to :)

this is certainly not the way to machine the hubs on rims :bang:

Wheel engineer shops charge approx 20-30 a wheel to have it done.. dont use a die grinder.... or a spoon. The Centre hub locates the wheel and is very important to wheel fitment.

yea cos when you have the wheel on the studs and the wheel nuts nipped up by hand - there is like heaps of play hay, id hate to fit those hubless centre style mags with a centre cap....must be a nightmare to get good fitment

You have no idea about what your talking about. I just hope no one has taken your advice. The wheel studs are not there to take the weight of a rim.

regardless, its unsafe to do it either way and a modified mag wheel is enough for an insurance company to knock back a claim and find you at fault in the event of an accident.
