Is it worth adding headers and cats to a 2.5inch x force cat back system?
-Does it make much difference to the sound?
-Would it be worth trying to get some HSV ones, or better to go the whole way?
many thanks!

I have an VF1 SSV redline in manual and the complete system is a must imo. I had the cat back 1st and the sound was loud but the growl was low but then I decided to add the headers and cats which made the growl more mean and deeper.

Yes, it makes a difference. Louder and more defined. But X Force though?

Yes, sounds fantastic. The horse has bolted with buying Australian, and high carbon steel will rust pretty quick anyway so make the most of what you got.
-Does it make much difference to the sound?
Yes, the note, loudness and timber. Scope is fairly wide here.

Yes it is worth getting HSV and it is the whole way if you rev the crap out of your stock engine, will deliver top HP with proper mandrel to HFCs. Torque is mid range.
Goin the whole way for more money for different performance profile more suited to your driving probably makes more sense.

I have been looking at this also, apparently Walkinshaw headers are rebadged Di Fillipo, and after the cats they go to mild steel. When you refer to HSV headers, can you source those new? I found a similar thread here http://www.hsvforum.com.au/archive/index.php/t-14244.html
If I go that way I'll let you know, given the positive feedback from the other blokes here I can feel the credit card flexing again...
