!!do i need a tune for fueltronics?

hey guys i bought a fueltronics chip for my vr v6. its the 1 with the green sticker ontop. i was just wondering if i need a tune if i put it in?

what does the "chip" look like and where does it plug in?

If it plugs into the ecu I.E you pull your memcal out and place that one in, then no as that is the tune (The memcal)

However if this is one of those "chips" that you plug into the intake air temp sensor near the air filter box, it is a 20 cent resistor that will do nothing but harm, throw it in the bin and leave the seller some negative feedback for wasting your time.

Dude, that chip IS the tune......

And if you got it off Ebay, there is a 99.9% chance it won't do anything. As Dannyboy said, all they do is solder on a 20 cent resistor from Dick Smith and it tricks the ECO into thinking more air is being sucked into your engine than there really is, therefore pumping more fuel into your engine.

Really not a good thing at all.

nah powerchip is ok. They are memcals and have a pretty good rep. Unless you factor in the $600 for a bench tune

there is another thread hes allready fitted it to the memcal and takin it back out as he wasnt happy with it.
