Hi,

I have a GT35 turbo with a 0.63 A/R turbine housing with an internal wastegate.
Will the internal wastegate cope on an ecotec or will i need to fit an external wastegate to it and not use the internal one??

Thanks for any help with this matter.

Yeah it will cope mate.

EWG will be over kill. waste of time and effort plumbing it in too. I would be wise to run an external pipe from the dump too if its possible.

We run a 35 on a 2.7ltr Sr20 (drift car) with the internal waste gate. Still held up about 400-450HP. Motor was a grenade motor but you get the picture.

I cant run a seperate pipe from the dump for the internal gate as it comes with the cast housing/cover for the turbine side with a 3" v band outlet.
Unless i dont use that rear housing and make one but i like the cast one it's nice and neat..
I'll try it this way it can only overboost and i'll have to run a small EWG.
