took the car in to have the airbag light reset after i replaced the clock spring, the Auto Leccy reset all faults and the light is still staying on, he has said that it may be the BCM not registering as the fault being reset. It is a VT Executive so no power windows and what not.

Any help would be good thanks.

check the srs fuse, though if he cleared the code it should not be the fuse, did he check after to see if the code came back?

Yeah he checked about 10 times to see if the code came back but it didn't come back.

typically either there isn't power to the srs module or there is a fault code logged.

The VT to VZ workshop manual says this about when the SRS light stays on with no codes showing-
    1) Carry out a diagnostic circuit check.
    2) Did the SRS light goes out after 5 seconds? If yes and the system reports no faults, it could be an intermittent fault.
    3) Connect tech 2 and test for serial data. If none, program instruments.
    4) Check tech 2 for battery voltage. If not ok, repair faults in charging system.
    5) Disconnect SDM wiring harness at SDM. Start engine and turn on lights to load up the battery. Check terminal 5 on the SDM connector, it should read approximately alternator voltage. Check terminal 5 circuit to fuse number 26, it should read approximately alternator output voltage.
    6) Check that the SDM earth has continuity with the earth under the SDM torx bolt.
    7) With the tech 2, check that energy reserve is OFF.
    8) With tech 2, under BCM diagnostics, check to see if SRS units, air bags and pre tensioners are deployed, if it is YES, renew the SDM module and retest.
