Do I need to polish my car?

I personally used to do a full detail every month, which included a high quality polish. Then every second month i would do a clay bar, then mirror glaze, then polish, then finally wax. Make sure not to hit plastic or chrome with it though.

Hi guys,

My VZ Commodore Executive has the factory quicksilver metallic paint. I'm just wondering if I need to polish / wax it every now and then, or if this sort of paint doesn't need polishing.

If it does need polishing, which brand do you recommend, and how often should I polish it?

I use a product called carlack 68 works wonders, it's made in Germany as well.
