Was minding my own business today and went around a corner to find a Pintara speeding and going mad. I swerved to avoid it, and through a mixture of under and over correcting managed to plough into the side of the road, narrowly missing the engine with a tree.

So this is the end result:  :bang: :realangry:

^^ Uhh yeah thats the stump of the tree I managed somehow to tangle up (culprit for the damage to bars). Chain saw eventually got it out.

I think the sway bar needs replacing (maybe the pin too), maybe the control rod and definately the side panel and bumper? Needs a while alignment too.

How much do you guys reckon I'm up for repair/labour wise? Thankfully I'll take full advantage of insurance but just interested to know? I'll of course get a quote though.

    Cheers, Tim

It'd be impossible to give an estimation in price IMO.

Looks like you hit pretty hard, are you sure there is no chassis damage?

Surely the other car was in the wrong if you have had to run off the road. Did you report it all to the police? If not i'd suggest you do it ASAP. Thats alot of damage there, if there is any chassis damage it is bye bye car.

Yeah its been reported to the Police last night. My mate was driving down in front and saw the Pintara zoom past him so he saw he car, just didn't see me go off cause of him. Didn't get the rego plate or any other details either as the guy just drove off :realangry: Don't think he realised what happened but still.

My sister's boyfriend races rally cars and has seen a lot of ugly stuff like this so he's coming around this arvo just to have a suss. I think he's more interested in seeing how the hell I got the root up there haha.

Taking it into a few crash repairers Monday arvo to get a quote. Then its off to AAMI to pay their good ol' Under 22 excess plus standard excess! Woohoo  I'm glad I decided to sell my bike last week so I have some cash lol. Had a bit of a surf on eBay though and looks like I may be able to get most of the parts myself which may end up being cheaper.

Will let you guys know how much

Man you must try harder to get that culprit who caused you this. This sad, I'm sure you know what the car looks like so you may go off looking for that bastard.

    Good luck with the repair.
