I like the silver ones from police cars and utes a lot. Black ones, yes they are fine, but I think you need too have them clean and shiny - always with centre caps.

Depends on the car IMHO.....BT1's that look original or BT1 mock ups that have the same said look look fine....

For EG if I decided to colour code my VN, the silver "interceptors" would look crap and I would fit Alloys of some desciption...

First up, black stockies are not interceptors! They are spare tyres:p

Interceptors are wider and theres the obvious colour change.

And i think in general they look pretty average on most cars...

For my taste the only exceptions being yellow BT1s who I like on them:)

HOWEVER I run the 16" as I plan to widen them as much as practical so the old girl can get traction.
And my vc is a BT1 wannabe.

Not all "interceptors" were wider but all were factory painted silver, e.g. VL's and VN's were mostly only 6inch wide same as spares (I like that comment, "black stockies are not interceptors!" They are spare tyres LOL)

I do like them, but then again i have them on my car as well. I run VE 16x7 black stockies on my VH and think it looks good. they have 215 tires on them, center caps for them are on order which i will then paint black.

I have them on my VL because I didn't want to get alloy wheels for it and they look better than standard VL wheel trim.

Probably wouldn't put them on a newer commodore.

Silver is passable, black is a no no. I've got a set of silver 16X7 VE ones for when I get the shitswith the ride quality of my 20's I put them on until I realize how crap they look.

I was always under the impression that if the police ordered a pursuit vehicle "interceptor" it came with the wider rim, but I could be wrong. They were always that way when I worked there, but hey I'm not sure anyone cares these days every car on a stock rim is an ex cop bt1 with interceptors :blah blah:
